Our Care & Practices

  • Session duration varies significantly based on your goals and our treatment plan. EMDR is most effective when utilized under specific structures and frequencies. Depending on your needs, we will determine if recurring appointments, extended sessions, or intensives would be best suited for you.

  • The only long term commitment you will be making is to yourself. Our partnership, however, will eventually end as you will be provided with tools and skills to make effective change. The goal of our practice is to get you to a place where you can flourish on your own which means you will not be kept in treatment longer than necessary. Care plans vary based on your desired goals and outcomes.

  • This is how we will refer to the goals, intentions, and structure that we will develop to help you get the most out of your experience with therapy and EMDR.

    • If you are seeking treatment due to feeling overwhelmed, we will look to establish any common themes to address your needs.

    • If you are trying therapy for the first time or are unsure where to start, we will work together to process your current concerns.

  • I do not accept insurance. This policy has allowed me to reallocate time back to my clients and continuing my own EMDR learning opportunties. Investing in professional comphrensive care is a short-term fee you make towards investing in yourself. The long-term benefits are exponential. Many find the effectiveness of EMDR to be so beneficial that they no longer feel the need to keep up with the constant, recurring appointments and costs they have become accustomed to.

EMDR, Trauma, & Therapy

  • Check out our Services page to learn more about Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Our Inspiration page also features resources to renown institutions specializing in EMDR care and research.

  • The spectrum of therapy ‘working’ is different for everyone. It is impossible to quantify how satisfied you will feel with your experience, however, many of our clients come to us after years of struggling with traditional talk therapy and/or general self care. This is a sign that EMDR could be a good fit for you. Therapy in general is a subjective and emotional process, but our clients have found it effective. You can read some of their testimonials here.

  • Trauma is defined as a deeply distressing or disturbing experience, and/or a physical injury. There are many things in our life that can result in known or unknown trauma. There is no threshold you must meet for care — your feelings are valid and we want to help you work through them. If you aren’t feeling like yourself, stuck, or overwhelmed, contacting Holistic Healing EMDR is a good place to start.
